Ping launched the G400 Max Driver in 2018 with a 460 CC head which is larger than the 445 CC head on the G400 Driver that launched 6 months prior to the G400 Max release.. What that does in practice is takes your shots from the edges of the face and gives them long rides down the fairway. I would love to go to a fitter and choose another shaft but the connection head on the G400 Max is different than the new Ping 410. At 460cc, it offers major performance benefits that some players will find extremely appealing. If you already have a G400, you might be feeling a bit miffed, but if it works for you then it might be a touch less forgiving than the Max, but it is still ahead of most of the rest of the competition so I wouldn't be too upset if you feel you are missing out. The G400 and G400 LS Tec are for those higher swing speed players who need to reduce spin and have enough speed to cope with the lower launch.
